Warranty Claims for Star Rods

Thank you for purchasing a Star Fishing Rod.

Star Rods values its relationship with its customers and takes pride in the quality and craftsmanship of its handcrafted rods and other products for over 65 years.

If you have an issue with a Star Rod purchased through an authorized Star Rod retailer, please return the rod through them first as it will be your quickest way to receive a replacement and get back out on the water. If you still require support or purchased through CalcuttaOutdoors.com please complete the warranty claim form below.

Note: We may request the rod AND the printed warranty claim response to be submitted as part of the warranty claim process. Proof of purchase such as a receipt is a requirement for all warranty claims.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The above mentioned Star Rods are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Star Rods will warrant to the original retail purchaser that this rod will be free of defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from an accident, neglect or normal wear and tear. If Star Rods determines that this rod is defective, Star Rods will, at its option, repair or replace the rod. If replacement is necessary and the exact rod is not available, Star Rods will substitute the closest model available, which will be of equal or greater value. In order for the Star Rods rod to be considered for warranty repair or replacement, a Return Authorization Number and Completed Warranty Claim Form Emailed from Star Rods must accompany the rod. This limited warranty will be considered void if the rod has been modified, neglected, improperly maintained, misused or abused as determined by the retailer or Star Rods. All rods with a handwritten label or part number were manufactured prior to implementation of the Lifetime Warranty and will not be covered under this warranty.

One (1) Year Limited Warranty

The above mentioned Star Rods are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Star Rods will warrant to the original retail purchaser that this rod will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from an accident, neglect or normal wear and tear. During this period, if Star Rods determines that this rod is defective, Star Rods will repair or replace the rod with the same or similar rod at no charge. In order for this Star Rods rod to be considered for warranty repair or replacement, return the rod to the retailer where originally purchased or return intact, prepaid and insured to Star Rods in a disposable carton. All warranty claims should be accompanied by a valid Return Authorization Number, Completed Warranty Claim Form Emailed from Star Rods and Dated Sales Receipt/Proof of Purchase. This limited warranty will be considered void if the rod has been modified, neglected, improperly maintained, misused or abused as determined by the retailer or Star Rods.

    • Stellar and Aerial Series rods have a 1-year warranty and proof of purchase date is REQUIRED when submitting Stellar and Aerial Series warranty claims, which can be uploaded through this claim process.
    • All handwritten model numbers were manufactured prior to the lifetime limited warranty and will not be covered.
    • Upon the receipt and review of a Completed Warranty Claim Form, a Return Authorization Number will be emailed from the Star Rods customer service team. Star Rods is not responsible for the cost of shipping to the Warranty Center, but will gladly ship the replacement rod at no cost.
